Overall Communications Objective: My team and I created the below patient profile series for Kaiser Permanente with the goal of communicating the specialty care components provided by the hospital network and its physicians, illustrating Kaiser Permanente’s medical excellence across a broad range of specialties. In addition to below hero videos, we created teaser vignettes for each profile.

Client and Title: Kaiser Permanente - "Greg Lee: West Nile Virus Patient Profile"

A heartfelt story of love, determination and will. Meet Kaiser Permanente member, Greg Lee, whose flu-like symptoms turned out to be a rare side-effect of West Nile Virus, causing hydrocephalus (swelling of the brain) that put him in a coma for three months.

Client and Title: Kaiser Permanente - “Mr. and Mrs. Rodriguez: Colon Cancer Patient Profile”

Colorectal cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in Latino men and women, but Paula and Miguel never thought they would both be diagnosed with the disease within two years of each other. Thanks to their care teams at Kaiser Permanente, they are now cancer-free and able to focus on what matters most to them: family.

Steve Pietrek has an energetic and lively personality that was sharply curtailed after he experienced a heart attack and two strokes. He began a year-long struggle to return to normal as a result of an abnormal heart rhythm known as ventricular fibrillation.
